I can't believe its already been four years! Time goes by fast. This year Lance TRIED to surprise me with a "secret" trip for our anniversary. He put some good effort towards it and lead me down false paths. he text my mom and said we were going to Jackson Hole so immediatly I text her and ask her for details but she was in on the whole thing and claimed she had no idea. I'm the nosiest person alive and I have to know everything that is going on and so this was driving me crazy. Lance made some not-so-sneaky moves like calling me at work and asking...
"Hey, do you get paid time off?"
"Yes, Why?"
"Oh just wondering... So who is your boss?"
"Um her name is Brenda why?"
"I don't know, well I never get to see you so you should request some time off. Is she the one you would talk to to request it?"
"Um, yeah sure I guess."
"Okay well I'll talk to you later."
Totally not sneaky husby. Well then I called Lance on it but he wouldn't reveal where we were going until I used reverse psychology.... on a 27 year old, and it worked.
Me: "Don't tell me where were going cuz I want everything to be a surprise."
"Ok... What if you dont like it? I'm really worried you wont."
"I am pretty picky, but I still want it to be a surprise."
"Well your going to look at the account to see where I bought the hotel."
I'm thinking, well yeah duh! but said"No I want it to be a surprise."
It basically went on like this for a few days and he finally told me that we are going to Vegas, so the weekend of Feb 5 we are headed out there. WAHOO!
Anyway I still love Lance pants and realize I don't talk about him much on this blog, its mostly about me (lol, anyone in nursing who has trouble not talking about themselves in theraputic conversations? Sometimes you gotta have it be about you -EMILY- )

I knew all along where and when you were going! But I guess you did to so it doesn't really matter.
I am a bad aunt. Logan was so sad that I didn't babysit him at my house, but I was already half way to mom's to pick him up at dad's so I figured I save mom a trip and just babysit him there.
He kept asking when we were going to Kelly's house. Then I had to sneak out so he wouldn't start crying but then he did start crying and called me on the phone and said
"Kelly I lost you!"
I'm holding back the tears right now. I feel horrible. I think I will take him a day or two while you guys are in vegas to make up for it.
He also broke my heart when he started crying for him mom and dad when he didn't want to go to bed.
"I want my mom and dad!"
*tear*
