Sunday, Sunday, our only day off of the week and the weather was perfect. We decided to go on a hike and ended up in emigration canyon. My devilish husband had planned to metal detect the pioneer trail while Logan and I hike. Me and a two year old, hiking? Yikes. So we drive half way up the mountain and find the trail. Their tracks are still carved into the ground!!!
Apparently in the winter everybody tubes down the "trail" because the face is open and no vegetation grows over the tracks, (crazy weird eh?). So what do me and Logan do to entertain ourselves? We find four tires and roll them down the face, it was awesome until Logan wanted me to go get them (which I did). He wasn't willing to walk back up so I had him on my back and a tire in hand while dropping a pound every step.
Once we finally tore Lance away from the mountain we drove down the other side and came upon a huge reservoir where we decided to have lunch. I, being the rockin mom that I am, forgot sunscreen, so we headed back to the car to leave before we burnt ourselves. Lance opened the trunk to put the food in and then hopped in front to start the car.
"Darndidleearnet?" ( He may have used a few other choice words but I'm editing for my mom's sake).
"What?"
"What did you do to the key?"
"What!? I never had the key."
"Where is the other half?" The key is broken in half and the other half we learn is in the trunk. Our windows are open as well!
Me, realizing that HE had broken the key, am completely relaxed thinking I have the copy in my purse. He on the other hand is geniusly trying to get it out of the lock. When I realize I dont have the copy and he realizes that its a lost cause he begin the phone calls. Except we dont have service. OH MY H. E. Double hockey sticks! (your welcome mom).

To make my already long story short, we finally get service in one spot and call our favorite person in the world that we knew would have nothing better to do (just kidding). Kelly came to our rescue, click her name to hear her story. She showed up with water and cupcakes, how freaken awesome is that?! I'm so glad we called her. She drove us all the way to Layton to pick up Alyses (little sister) car. From there we headed to Lance's uncles house to attend a family BBQ and eat because we were STARVING. Then we went home to get the spare key. THEN, we went to moms house and dropped of the extra car and Logan because he was SO SICK OF BEING IN THE CAR. THEN, we headed to get the car.
We left at 11a.m., got stranded around 2:30, and finally got home after picking up the car at 11:30 that night. Good thing both of us had to work at 6 a.m. wonderful Monday morning.
SO.... I need help in figuring out what I can do for my sweet sweet sister Kelly to thank her for being the best bail out cupcake making charity giving person ever. Please give me suggestions, I beg of you.
Look at all of us, I was just as retarded back then as I am today.
I'm thankful that this picture shows pretend cleavage, Its just my rib cage meeting eachother. BTW we aren't looking at anything.
Me and Kelly when she was evil and I was sweet.
How cute is she way back then, WHAT SHOULD I DO FOR CUTE KELLY

I love reading this from both points of view.
Clearly, you should give up your first born child to her.
Oh, and I'm glad you no longer think I"m stupid and don't know how to spell "publisher."
Oh dear, I can't believe you posted those sweet ass pics! Geez I was a nerd, and when I say "was" I mean "still am".
While I think you don't need to do anything for me, I do however have to agree with Kristina P, your first born child will suffice.
That would work out perfectly, I would get my first child who already sleeps through the night and you will have to have a new baby. Right now.
Go get workin on that would ya?
I LUV U!
Oooo, I got nothin. Well, you COULD just get pregnant again asap like she suggested. Just a small and simple gesture like that would probably go a long way with her. She wouldn't want you to do anything MAJOR...
Such good restraint of language - aren't mom's good for that?
Love all the pictures! I just love the adventures of you & your sisters!
And she swoops in with CUPCAKES... there's nothing better then that!!!
Pedis and lunch would be a great payback!
Fun pictures!
Hey Lin! Who would have thought that I figured out how to leave a comment all by myself!! :)I love this blog! I feel like i'm there with you guys haha! I think that we need to continue our little jog so that I can build up some muscles and shed some Lbs! I think giving up cute lil Logan might be too difficult.. But I think another bun in the oven is a great idea!
I'm learning..
Wow what a great Sunday you had! Having my own (almost) 2 year old to contend with, I am seriously impressed that you managed all that activity with one in tow! Kudos to you!
As for what to get your sister, I would definitely say a nice pedicure (you have to go too OF COURSE) or dinner out with her. Don't give up your first born for her! It might be nice for the first couple of days but then he would be seriously missed! Every time I try to give mine away I always end up regretting it!! ;)
The post (from both points of view!!) was hilarious, but the pictures were fantastic ;)
I'm so impressed with Logan and how he didn't (unless you are just leaving it out) learn a few profanities to scream whilst getting sick of the car. What a trooper. I'm sure the cupcakes helped.
Love the old pics. Just as I remember u guys! Memories ahhh....
